Melissa Felinski, DO, is a board certified general surgeon and is fellowship-trained in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. In addition to performing general surgery, she specializes in weight loss surgery, including sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Her practice also includes the surgical management of complex foregut diseases, with a focus on the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, and hiatal and diaphragmatic hernias. She is dedicated to providing patients with comprehensive and compassionate care throughout their surgical journeys with an ultimate goal of improving their quality of life. Dr. Felinski grew up in south Florida and graduated with honors from the University of Florida. She earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she ranked in the top 10% of her class. Dr. Felinski completed her general surgery residency at TriHealth - Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She then completed a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she received formal training in robotic bariatric surgery and surgical endoscopy.
