I'm board certified in General Surgery and Trauma/Surgical Critical Care. I'm a Clinical Assistant Professor for Surgery at Michigan State University. I received my medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, IA. I completed my residency in General Surgery at St. John Providence Health System, MI. Subsequently I completed a Trauma Surgery fellowhip at Hurley Medical Center, MI and a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Henry Ford Main campus, MI. I'm currently a staff physician of the Trauma and Surgical critical care team at Hurley Medical Center. I hold the positions of pediatric trauma director, SICU director, and director of trauma research. I'm also a Michigan State University clinical assistant professor of surgery. Regionally I also hold the postion of Vice Chair for the Regional Professional Standards Review Organization (RPSRO) for the Regional Trauma Network Region 3, Michigan State Wide System.
