Fia Yi, M.D. is a Colorectal Surgeon in private practice in Fort Myers, Florida. She completed her time in service with the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2020 after 16 years of service with two deployments overseas to the Middle East and Afghanistan. Her previous role as Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas placed her in a role to help train future surgeons at the Department of Defense's premiere surgical residency program. Dr. Yi has strong interests in minimally invasive surgery, specifically with the robotic platform. She currently sits on committees in the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons as well as SAGES. She is also a reviewer for the flagship journals of both societies.
