Vera Ehrenstein is a professor at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Aarhus University, Denmark. She has served as a leading epidemiologist on several large pharmacovigilance studies based on routinely collected data from Denmark and other countries. Her focus has been on oncology, bone modifying agents, and drug use in pregnancy, and she has more than 130 peer-reviewed publications. Professor Ehrenstein has been representing academia in the Steering Group of the European Networks of Centers of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP) (2017-2019) and in the ISPE Board of Directors (Class of 2021). She earned a doctorate in epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health. She is an associated Editor-in-Chief of the online journal Clinical Epidemiology.
