Anne Mobley Butler, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Washington University School of Medicine. She has a primary appointment in the Division of Infectious Diseases and a secondary appointment in the Division of Public Health Sciences. Her pharmacoepidemiology research focuses on the treatment and prevention of common infections, including vaccine & antibiotic utilization, effectiveness, safety, costs, and related outcomes. Her research involves the application of epidemiologic study designs and analytic methods to highly detailed clinical and administrative data that are captured on patients as part of routine clinical care. Her ongoing research uses the following data sources: US Medicare claims, IBM MarketScan Commercial Database & Multi-state Medicaid Database, United States Renal Database System, and regional EHR data.
