Janick Weberpals, RPh, PhD, is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Scientist in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He holds a pharmacy degree from Philipps-University Marburg, a specialization in drug information and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He started his career as a visiting scholar at the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida in 2014/15. During his Ph.D. studies at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg he strongly focused on applied and methodological questions in the field of cancer pharmacoepidemiology. In his previous role as a postdoctoral fellow at the Roche Innovation Center Munich he worked on methods to analyze high-dimensional real-world databases using deep learning for the application to problems in early drug development and comparative effectiveness & safety studies.
