I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and the Director of Data Strategy and Education within the Cancer Information and Public Health Resource at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. I conduct pharmacoepidemiologic and comparative effectiveness research in oncology. The overall objective of my work is to generate robust evidence on the uses, benefits, and harms of cancer therapies that will improve decisions made by patients, providers, and policymakers. My research draws upon large healthcare databases, clinical trial data, and advanced epidemiologic methods to evaluate: (1) the delivery of high-quality care and (2) the effectiveness and safety of alternative treatment options.
