I am a pharmacist who has worked in pharmacoepidemiology and health services research for over 20 years, with expertise in using quantitative methodologies for investigating the impact of medicines on pharmacy practice and patient outcomes. As well as undertaking research, I lead on teaching applied pharmacy practice research methods at the University of Manchester to undergraduate pharmacy students and postgraduate clinical pharmacists. I have presented internationally to audiences of practitioners and educators, drawing on my research in drug utilisation, and theoretically-informed methodologies for evaluating medication and practice.
