Nersi Alaeddin is a second-year PhD student working with Prof. Monique M.B. Breteler (MD, PhD) in the Rhineland Study, an ongoing prospective population-based cohort study within the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE, Bonn). His research is focussed on pharmacoepidemiology and the main research interest centers on suboptimal medication use and adverse health effects including polypharmacy, potentially inappropriate medication use, drug-drug interactions, drug-gene interactions and over- and undertreatment.
Prior to this, he worked in the hospital pharmacy of the University Hospital in Cologne in the field of clinical pharmacy and oncology.
