Ippazio Cosimo Antonazzo graduated in Biology at University of Bologna in Italy, where he also obtained his master's degree in Health Biology. He holds a PhD in 'Pharmacology and Toxicology, Human Development and Movement Sciences'. His major research fields are Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance, specifically focused on drug utilization in the real world and on the analysis of adverse events potentially associated with drug exposure. During his PhD, Ippazio attended an advanced course in 'Systematic revisions and meta-analyses for producing evidence-based guidelines in the healthcare sector - Cochrane method' at University of Verona, and a summer school in 'Methodology for clinical research' at University of Bologna.
He spent six months at the department of Global Public Health and primary care-University of Bergen (Norway), where he experienced the management of Healthcare databases for pharmacoepidemiology purposes.
At present, Ippazio works as a postdoctoral researcher at University of Milano-Bicocca. He is involved in several (pharmaco)epidemiology and pharmacovigilance research projects.
