Lia Gutiérrez, MPH, BSc, is a Senior Director of Epidemiology at RTI-HS. She has 20 years of pharmacoepidemiologic research experience. She has experience in the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of regulatory observational multidatabase drug safety studies and risk minimization evaluation studies involving multinational sites. Ms. Gutiérrez has produced numerous epidemiologic reports for orphan drug applications and pediatric investigation plans required for regulatory submissions.
Before joining RTI-HS, Ms. Gutiérrez held clinical and research positions at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and worked as a pharmacoepidemiologist for pharmaceutical companies. Her primary research areas of interest include studies on evaluation of cancer-related outcomes associated with the use of drugs, and drug-safety epidemiology in general.
