Andi Camden is a PhD candidate in the Epidemiology program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, Canada, and is funded by a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Doctoral Award. Andi received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University and a MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. Prior to starting her PhD, Andi applied her skills as an Epidemiologist to advocate, research and support policy development at the City of Toronto to decrease health inequities and work towards a healthier community. She is interested in maternal and child health research, and has experience in a range of public health issues, including injury prevention, active transportation, problem gambling and suicide prevention. Her doctoral research uses routinely collected health and administrative data to address important knowledge gaps surrounding opioid use in pregnancy and maternal & child health outcomes.
