Amir Sarayani is a Ph.D. candidate in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida. His doctoral research scholarship encompasses several real-world studies to evaluate drug utilization, safety, and effectiveness. He has also evaluated the real-world impact of risk minimization programs on safe-use behaviors and safety outcomes while advancing methods in prenatal pharmacoepidemiology and confounding control. The International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology have acclaimed his research scholarship.
Before joining the doctoral program, he earned a concurrent PharmD/MPH degree and worked as a pharmacist, researcher, and hospital pharmacy executive, where he had the opportunity to lead research and pharmacy teams in a cross-functional environment. He has conducted prospective observational and interventional studies on patients and healthcare providers to improve the appropriate use of medications and develop innovative pharmaceutical care models. His publication portfolio includes over 50 peer-reviewed research articles, conference abstracts, and commentaries.
