Carrie Huisingh is an associate director in Global Epidemiology at AbbVie providing analytic support to the immunology, women's health, and general medicine therapeutic areas. While at AbbVie, she has gained experience in conducting pharmacoepidemiology research using large electronic health record (EHR) and administrative claims databases (e.g. Optum, MarketScan). Her research proficiencies include study design, data management, statistical analysis, and interpretation of observational research. Carrie earned a BS in education from Butler University in 2002, a MPH in epidemiology from Indiana University in 2006, and completed further epidemiologic training as a CDC/CSTE applied epidemiology fellow at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. In 2018, she earned her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
