Pat is a doctoral candidate in the Epidemiology department at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He graduated from Boston College with a BS in Biology and then attended Columbia University for his MPH in Epidemiology. During his MPH program, Pat spent six months in Cambodia supporting nutritional health programs with Helen Keller International. He then transitioned to position at Pfizer Inc. and contributed to post-marketing studies that evaluated drug safety in the real-world setting as well as Phase II/III vaccine clinical trials. Pat is interested in vaccines and infectious diseases in addition to the application of innovative data sources to improve disease surveillance and pharmacovigilance (especially in low-resource settings).
