Max created his first baked dessert at just five years old, an onion bagel smothered in confetti sprinkles. Memories of baking donut-inspired bagels and scraping the bakery floors alongside his cousins during the holidays led Max to join his family's beloved legacy, Freed's Bakery, in 2004. Since then, Max has grown Freed's from its single location roots to six locations throughout the Las Vegas valley parallel to a nationwide shipping program.
With a philosophy of leveraging technology in new and interesting ways, Max has utilized a robust online ordering system to expand operations, has created a proprietary cake ordering system to take on the challenges of growth in a retail custom cake shop setting, and has begun exploring opportunities and challenges using a decentralized Internet in a retail bakery setting.
Max has been honored in Vegas Inc's 40 Under 40, as a Rising Star of Business, and he and his team have been featured on a long list of TV programs, most noticeably as a leading cast member on Food Network's hit show, "Vegas Cakes." A father of two, Max stays busy playing Legos and reading books with his children while making the world's greatest chocolate chip cookies for his family.
