Kathleen is a highly regarded innovator and is known internationally for the foreign technique, The Lambeth Method of Cake Decorating. She has brought back an old school technique by adding her own techniques, as well as a contemporary, romanticized and modernized flair. She has become very well known for her Lange/Lambeth Method of English Over-piping Boot Camps, skills in sugar art and also the quality of her demonstrations and classes. Kathleen's enthusiasm for confectionary arts is contagious!
Most recently, in May 2016, Kathleen was named one of the Top Ten International Cake Artists by New York Cake & Baking at The New York City Cake Show. In 2016, she was nominated internationally and was one of top four finalists in the UK Cake Master's Magazine "Royal Icing Award," and in 2017 was nominated internationally and was one of top four finalists for the New York Golden Tiers "Educator of the Year Award."
In August 2020 Kathleen was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Int'l Cake Exploration Society for sharing her love of teaching and decorating 40 years.
In October 2017, Kathleen Coached/Judged and competed with her student, Michelle Sohan as Team Trinidad & Tobago in the Milan, Italy in the FIPGC Cake Designers World Championship, awarded "The Best Cake Taste in the World 2017" and placed 7th; competing against 19 other countries.
Kathleen continues to share her love for confectionery arts; traveling as a guest instructor, demonstrator and judge for confectionary clubs, shows and culinary art schools throughout the country and internationally. She is a distinguished member of FIPGC (Federation International of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate) in Italy, representing the United States as a Decorator of Excellence and helps find the USA team/competitor's to compete in the FIP Cake Designers World Championship at the Host in Milan
