Certain autoimmune disorders associated with systemic inflammation are known to raise the risks for various comorbidities. For example, patients with psoriasis may be more prone to such physiological conditions as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, insulin resistance, and more, in addition to such psychological afflictions as depression and anxiety. This session will discuss some of the comorbidities connected to inflammatory disorders and the implications they have on prognosis, medication selection, and treatment response.
