Maureen “Mo” Basenberg is the Executive Director of Safe Passage Children’s Advocacy Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Prior to joining the team at Safe Passage she served as Director of Childhelp Children’s Center in Phoenix, AZ from 2007 to 2016. In addition to leadership of the Center in Phoenix she supervised a mobile advocacy center operating in Northern Arizona as well as sister rural CAC program in Payson, AZ. From 1999 to 2007 Ms. Basenberg served in the Arizona Governor’s Office providing oversight and support to grantees across Arizona. She has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Theatre from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University. Her personal life revolves around her family: husband, 10 year old daughter, 5 year old son, two rescue dogs, crested gecko and two goldfish. She is an avid Peloton member and loves to be on the water on her stand up paddleboard.
