Sarah Bristol is the Director of Clinical Programs for D.C. Forensic Nurse Examiners, a nonprofit in Washington DC that provides trauma-informed, patient-centered care to survivors of sexual and intimate partner. As Director of Clinical Programs, Sarah provides direct supervision, forensic training, guidance, and administrative support to DCFNE forensic nurses, as well as coordinates forensic clinical training for forensic nurses from across the United States. Sarah also practices as a forensic nurse, providing care to survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Sarah currently serves on the Board of the International Association of Forensic Nurses Foundation. Sarah also serves as a member of the United States Peace Corps Sexual Assault Advisory Committee. Sarah holds Masters Degrees in Public Health and Community Health Nursing, as well as Bachelors Degrees in Nursing and Sociology. She has 10 years of clinical experience as an RN and earned her certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for adults and adolescents in 2018. She has dedicated her career to the prevention of gender-based violence, as well as providing compassionate care for survivors of violence.
