Dr. Betty Nance-Floyd is an Associate Professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Nursing. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing in 1985, BSN in 1995, MSN-Ed in 2007, and a PhD in 2016. She is a Fulbright Specialist and has traveled to Malawi and India building international relationships, engaging in cultural experiences, and leading leadership and educational training. Dr. Nance-Floyd is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt candidate. She mentors graduate students throughout their quality improvement and leadership projects. Dr. Nance-Floyd was awarded a HRSA SANE grant (T96HP32501) to develop and implement a combination Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program and clinical support in rural hospitals in eastern North Carolina.
