Dr. Beasley is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a full-time assistant professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing in the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Department. Dr. Beasley is the Past-President of the Tennessee Nurses Association District 1 and former Director of Clinical Education for the University of Memphis Loewenberg College of Nursing. As an APRN, her practice focus is hospice and palliative care in the rural counties surrounding Memphis and Shelby county. She is a co-investigator of a grant team, SANE Training & Education through Partnerships for Underserved Populations (STEP UP), that was awarded the HRSA Advancing Nursing Education - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, a $1.5 million dollar grant, in 2021.
