Donna Velardi has been a Registered Nurse since 1995 graduating from Bloomfield College with her Bachelor’s degree. As a Registered Nurse she has practice in Home care, Med-Surg, Urology and Orthopedics. She has been a Forensic Nurse Examiner for Ocean County since the inception of the sexual assault program in 2000. In 2015, she became the Forensic Nurse Coordinator and Sexual Assault Response Team Coordinator for Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. She was recently elected Treasurer of the NJ Chapter of IAFN and Forensic Nurse Coordinator Association of NJ. In 2021 her county program expanded their services from Sexual Assault patients to include examination of Domestic Violence Non-Fatal Strangulation patients. Currently she is involved in expanding the development of Non-Fatal Strangulation Programs throughout the state of NJ.
