As the Assistant Director of the SAFE-T Center, Ms. Bittner is fully devoted to driving the mission to provide care to victims of sexual assault in the communities who need it most. Ms. Bittner has played an integral role in the Center’s growth and development, having been involved since its establishment in 2017. Ms. Bittner offers a wide breadth of experience essential to our needs including a business background that affords exceptional project management skills as well as crucial budgetary development and expertise. Further, as a forensic nurse, Ms. Bittner has been instrumental in the development of a comprehensive online Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner base training course, SAFE-T trainings, precepting, and quality assurance. Ms. Bittner ensures that SAFE-T Center policies and protocols follow best practice guidelines so as to provide the best possible service to our partner hospitals and communities. Finally, Ms. Bittner is a contributing author on two SAFE-T Center manuscripts and currently oversees SAFE-T data management and research protections.
