Cindy Peternelj-Taylor is a Professor of Nursing, at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research and scholarship focuses on professional role development for nurses and healthcare professionals who work with vulnerable populations in forensic mental health and correctional settings, with particular emphasis on clinical and ethical issues that emerge from practice (palliative care, boundary violations, whistleblowing, Othering, trauma-informed care). Her publications can be found in a number of peer reviewed journals and books. She is a Distinguished Fellow with the International Association of Forensic Nurses, and the Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Forensic Nursing.
