Hollie Thornton is a forensic nurse examiner (FNE) at Honor Health covering Maricopa county, which includes the large metropolitan area of Phoenix. She received her BSN from the University of Arizona in 1998 and a Masters of Science in Global Health from Northwestern University in 2020. Hollie has 24 years of ICU and PACU nursing experience and has worked as an FNE since 2017. The Honor Health FNE department averages about 2300 sexual assault, domestic violence non-fatal strangulation, and suspect exams a year and Hollie has personally completed close to 400 exams in her career. Hollie has completed both poster and podium presentations at national and local conferences. I have an interest in the relationship between homelessness and victims of sexual assault and racial/cultural barriers to accessing healthcare and victim advocacy.
