Bren has been a SANE since 2017 and has cared for survivors of sexual violence and abuse across the age spectrum. After her initial training, she came to realize there is a startling amount of misinformation about sexual abuse dynamics and even simple genital anatomy in the healthcare setting. This sparked a passion for advocacy and education. Bren enjoys training new SANEs and believes one of our most important roles is educating vulnerable people so that they may make informed decisions about their health. She is currently a Forensic Nurse Examiner for the CARE Team at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
