Nancy’s career in nursing spans nearly 40 years during which she has worked in pediatrics, neonatal ICU, hospitalist, and emergency services. While working in the emergency department for Samaritan Hospital she served as the Manager for the Hospitals Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program. Nancy has completed several sexual assault forensic examiner and pediatric trainings, and during her career she has performed over 1,600 sexual assault exams. In 2009, Nancy earned her certification as an adult nurse practitioner from SAGE College in Albany, NY. Nancy was instrumental in developing a system wide program to include four hospitals and two Child advocacy centers in the capital region. The regional CAC program is currently covering 20 Counties in NY State and Nancy is the acting Medical Manager. Nancy is a co-founder and VP of Nursing for the TELESAFE Program (Pilot program provided by an OVS Grant), providing services across New York State for the last three years. Nancy along with a team of colleagues created and provide a free pediatric sane training (with the help of NYSCA) for all medical providers in NYS and is currently working on a preceptorship program for those provider
