Angie Morris is employed by the University of Southern Indiana’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, where she coordinates advanced nursing education for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
Ms. Morris came to the discipline of forensic nursing in 2014. She earned a bachelor’s degree in the concentration of Social & Behavioral Science with minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Indiana University, a bachelor of science in nursing from Marian University, and a master's of science in nursing from the University of Southern Indiana.
Prior to becoming a nurse, Ms. Morris worked for nearly 13 years in various roles within the criminal justice and legal field and served state and local government. Ms. Morris has experience as a forensic nurse in the Emergency Department of a metropolitan level I trauma center and is a board-certified Emergency Nurse and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
Ms. Morris is a member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau, Emergency Nurses Association, and the Academy of Forensic Nursing. She serves as a governor-appointed member of the Indiana State Board of Nursing and holds a seat on the Indiana Statewide Sexual Assault Response Team.
Ms. Morris is a lifelong Hoosier and resides with her husband and two young children in Fishers, Indiana.
