Patricia Maria Lavin, DNP, RN, NEA-BC is currently the Senior Director of Nursing Quality, Magnet, and Outcomes at the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. This position oversees Quality, Magnet designation, aspects of professional practice, community outreach programs, project management, and administrative facilitation of nursing research studies.
Patricia has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice program (DNP) from Case Western Reserve, Frances Payne Bolton (FPB) School of Nursing, an MS in Health Administration, and a BSN . Patricia’s doctoral research study was on the Adult Sexual Assault Survivor and the use of protective and risk factors post-assault and resilience.
Her professional work includes several nursing research studies and dozens of evidence-based projects. She has appeared on cable television in a roundtable discussion on the value of evidence-based nursing practice and patient care (Telecare television presentation, 2008).
