Kaylen Moore is currently a PhD nursing student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Kaylen has practiced for 18 years as an RN with experience in internal medicine, critical care, forensic nursing, and perioperative care. She has been a Forensic Nurse Examiner for 9 years and is certified as a SANE-A and SANE-P. She has contributed to forensic nursing practice and the trauma-informed care of sexual assault patients through her authorship of the chapters Medical Forensic Photography in the Sexual Assault Patient and Medical Forensic Documentation in the book IAFN Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Certification: A Review for the SANE-A® and SANE-P® Exams. Kaylen's research interest includes gender-based violence among ethnic minority women with a current focus on Black women survivors of intimate partner violence.
