Mrs. Whitney Richardson, BSN-SN is a research assistant and full-time student at Brigham Young University College of Nursing. She was hired on to assist Dr. Leslie Miles and Dr. Julie Valentine with their research on sexual violence and intimate partner violence in the spring of 2021. She has since collaborated with other research assistants to add to the growing dataset of ~8,000 sexual assault cases tracking information from evidence collection through DNA analysis – helping to expand the largest database of its kind. Whitney hopes to use the extensive knowledge she has gained to propel her into the nursing field and become a certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
