My name is Suzanne Ackers and I have been a nurse for 25 years. I am currently adjunct clinical faculty at Texas Woman's University, as well as a doctoral candidate at Duquesne University School of Nursing. My clinical experience includes perioperative, psychiatric, and community health nursing. I have completed SANE training but am not certified and do not practice in the SANE role. My dissertation research focus area is forensic nursing and care of youth victims of sexual abuse. I have been a member of the IAFN since 2013 and have had the privilege of presenting posters at past conferences. One of which earned an IAFN award for 'Outstanding Poster on Forensic Nursing Education Implications' in Toronto in 2017. Thank you for considering my current abstract for a poster session.
