Changing Culture in a Police Organization: A New Path for Modern Policing

Every police organization has its own unique culture. This culture defines how the organization is viewed both internally and externally. A healthy and adaptive culture allows an organization to thrive and remain relevant in today’s difficult environment while an unhealthy one will decay, resulting in poor relationships with the community and employees. This session looks at two nationally recognized policing cultures and examines the factors, values, and leadership approaches that foster a dynamic and adaptive culture that is able to grow and flourish despite a constantly changing and difficult policing environment. Drawn from the inspiration of Simon Sinek‘ s work in his latest book, Infinite Game, both speakers will share what it looks like to build progressive cultures in these challenging times.
