Frank Padgett is a Deputy Chief with the Denton, Texas Police Department. He has been with the department for 27 years and currently commands the Investigations and Forensics Bureau. Frank is originally from New Jersey and grew up in Texas. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and Desert Storm. He currently holds a Master Peace Officer certification from the state of Texas and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University. Frank is a graduate of Session #80 of the Senior Management Institute for Police, Police Executive Research Forum. Frank has worked in every area of the department throughout his career, either as an officer, detective, or supervisor. He has commanded both the Operations (Patrol) and Investigations Bureaus. He is a member of the Denton County Homeless Coalition Steering Committee and recently participated in the IACP Leadership Institute to Combat Human Trafficking in Washington, D.C. Frank’s interests lie in working with multidisciplinary teams to find creative solutions to problems traditionally placed upon the police that are not necessarily crime problems.
