Neil W. Troppman is a 24-year law enforcement specialist currently serving as Acting Chief of the Law Enforcement Support Branch, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) National Tracing Center (NTC), United States Department of Justice. He has served in this position since October 2020, while continuing to fulfill his permanent assignment as Program Manager at NTC.
Mr. Troppman manages NTC’s law enforcement training and outreach program. He also serves as liaison to ATF’s public, governmental and legislative affairs as the NTC’s Public Information Officer, and he serves as liaison to ATF’s international affairs in support of foreign law enforcement partners by managing international firearms tracing and training.
