Major General Henry Armando Sanabria Cely. Is a Police Officer with 35 years of service, during which he has been commander of the Metropolitan Police of Cartagena, chief in different areas of Police Intelligence, Director of Health and Chief of Resources Management. He is now the new Director of the National Police of Colombia.
He is a professional in Police Management and Law, with postgraduate studies in Administrative Law, Criminal Law and Criminology, Security and Criminal Investigation.
He is described as a model leader, close to the community and the police, coherent in his thinking and actions, a good listener and wise counselor. These characteristics, added to his results, are translated into 81 awards and 210 special commendations.
Faithful practitioner of the Christian faith, married and father of 3 children.
He envisions an institution committed to compliance with the Political Constitution and the laws of Colombia, respectful of human rights, close to the community and in a permanent attitude of innovation for service, which allows guaranteeing public rights and freedoms and ensuring compliance with the social duties of the state and individuals.
