With 30 years of law enforcement experience, Undersheriff Christopher Darcy is second in command of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). Chris has been at the forefront in leading change on the LVMPD in the areas of use of force, duty to intervene, search warrants, pursuits, and in-custody deaths. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of leading many divisions and bureaus at LVMPD, including serving as the Assistant Sheriff of the Law Enforcement Investigations and Support Group, Deputy Chief of the Homeland Security Division and the Investigative Services Division, Director of the Southern Nevada Counter-terrorism Center where Chris directed the immediate investigative response after the 1 October mass shooting. In addition, Chris was Bureau Commander of the Major Violators Narcotics Bureau, Internal Affairs Bureau, and the Northeast Area Command.
