Phil’s 36-year law enforcement career includes general duties, crime investigation, public safety, projects, IT and human resources.
In 2008 he became the first male Committee member of the Australasian Council of Women and Policing Inc. (ACWAP) and was elected to the Council’s Executive in 2010.
Phil was promoted to Superintendent in 2012 and has held senior Command roles in public order, IT and Human Resources. In 2022 he commenced his current role as a Visiting Fellow at the Australian Institute of Police Management.
He has held casual employment as a sessional lecturer with Victoria University and RMIT. Phil was awarded the Australian Police Medal in 2013 and was the 2014 ACWAP Male Champion of Change for Australasia.
