Alyssa Smith is the Justice Programs Administrator at the Governor’s Public Safety Office (PSO). She manages and administers various state and federal grant programs that provide support to law enforcement, improve the criminal justice system, and reduce juvenile delinquency by filling system gaps and promoting innovative solutions to common challenges. Prior to joining the Justice Programs team, she served on the Victim Programs team as a Grant Coordinator for Texas’ Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) programs within the Office of the Governor. Alyssa began her career as a Disability Specialist for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Division for Disability Determination Services. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Texas Tech University. Alyssa’s passion is ensuring that all Texans receive the necessary resources for them to live stable and fulfilling lives while also helping to making the great state of Texas a safer place for its citizens.
