Laura has worked in Education for 15 years, supporting law enforcement as a Learning & Development leader for emerging technologies since 2017. Past & present experience includes educational policy research, grant-writing and multi-media product development, as well as global training implementation & research-based educational program design.
Her design work has been recognized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Grantee, Next Generation Courseware Challenge, 2014), Fast Company (Finalist, World-Changing Idea, 2020), and various media publications including the Washington Post, ABC's Good Morning America, ABC's Nightline, and Engineering & Technology Magazine.
In her volunteered time, Laura provides virtual career guidance, mentorship & peer-level support to adults living with trauma, complex trauma, and PTSD. She is a trauma-informed educator and a certified CIT Coordinator with CIT International.
Laura is a born Texan and lives in the SF Bay Area. She earned her B.A.'s in Business Management Economics & American Studies from the University of California in Santa Cruz. She earned her Ed.M. from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.
