Public Safety Wellness Unit Senior Manager, City of Irving TX
Dr. Betancourt is currently the Public Safety Wellness Unit Senior Manager for the City of Irving First Responders. She oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the unit to promote safety, wellness, and resilience for all first responders. She received her Ph.D. degree in Counseling Psychology in 2010 from the Interamerican University in San Juan, PR. Her previous job experiences include working at the Irving Family Advocacy Center for the past 11 years working with victims of crime, where she performed as Clinical Director for 5 years. Dr. Betancourt also worked for the Correctional Department in Puerto Rico. Additionally, she collaborated as an adjunct professor with the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD).
