Joe McCollom is a captain within the Orange County Sheriff's Office and currently serves as the Training Section Commander. He has been with the Orange County Sheriff's Office for 24 years. He has served in the Uniform Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigations Division-Major Case Sex Crimes Unit, the School Resource Officer Unit, the Homeland Security-Emergency Management Unit, the Professional Standards Section/Internal Affairs Section, the Strategic Communications Section, the Critical Incident Management Team, and the Hostage Negotiation Team as the Deputy Team Commander.
Joe McCollom obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College in 2017.
Joe McCollom currently serves as a member on the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) Region VII Training Council and the Sheriff’s designee on the Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) Joint Advisory Board.
