Deon McCaulley serves as the Chief of Police for the Cleveland Clinic Police Department in Cleveland, Ohio. He oversees 170 sworn police officers at thirteen hospitals and fifty family healthcare centers spread across northeast Ohio and is responsible for providing a safe environment for caregivers, patients and visitors.
Chief McCaulley’s law enforcement career began in 1990 as a patrol officer with the Cleveland Police Department in Ohio. He became a supervisor in 1998 and has supervised officers assigned to the Bike & Foot Beat, the Detective Bureau, the Vice & Strike Force, and Fresh Start Units at points throughout his career. He retired from the Cleveland Police Department in February 2021 as the Deputy Chief of Administrative Operations where he oversaw the department’s annual budget, training, communications center, logistics, personnel section, records, and supplies.
He is a graduate of Police Executive Leadership College, has an Associates of Arts degree, and served as a United States Marine reservist. He is the 1st Vice President of N.O.B.L.E. Greater Cleveland Chapter and has been recognized with numerous citations and commendations.
