Experienced Program Lead and PhD-candidate with a demonstrated history of working in law enforcement. Have worked for the Amsterdam Police Department for many years, but recently switched to the Dutch Police Academy. I am skilled in crisis management, extremism and depolarization, and have a special interest in (preventing) ethnic profiling. My studies are centralized around the question what is needed to motivate more police officers to participate in the reform. As such, I have designed a virtual reality (VR) simulation that I use as intervention, but also as a controlled environment that allows for testing interventions.
