Blake Sawyer is part of the Technical Support and Trainer for Amped Software USA. He is a LEVA Certified Forensic Video Analyst and IAI Certified Forensic Video Examiner. He is dedicated to helping the digital community better understand how video works and be able to get actionable evidence from video sources. He serves as the Video Chair of SWGDE, a member of the IAI Digital Evidence Committee, and a Digital Evidence OSAC Committee member. He has been called to testify as an expert in Video Forensics in several cases and consulted on cases throughout the country.
Before working at Amped Software, Blake was a Video Examiner for the Plano Police in Plano, Texas, where his monthly caseload averaged 90 video evidence requests, which is what led to finding Amped Software as the tool he could quickly and accurately process any video file he received.
His other previous work includes working as a QA engineer for Apple's QuickTime, and he also holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science.
