Chief Billy Bolin has served on the Evansville, Indiana Police Department since 1998 and has been the Chief since January 2012. He started his Policing Career at the Henderson Kentucky Police Department in 1995. Chief Bolin currently serves as The President of the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police, and is an Instructor with the international Coffee with A Cop program.
Chief Bolin is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership Academy. He won the National 2005 Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Public Service and was the 2009 Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police, Police Officer of the Year. Chief Bolin is the Co-Founder and President of 911 Gives Hope, which is a charitable foundation, comprised of police officers and firefighters, which has currently given over two million dollars to children and people with special needs. He is also one of the Co-Founders of Cops Connecting with Kids, which has taken 404 kids on an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney World.
