Biography - Gregory M. Knott, MPA
Chief Knott is a 29 year Law Enforcement Officer. He is the Chief of Police for the Town of Basalt Police Department, in Colorado, and serves as the Immediate Past President for the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police.
In 1994, Chief Knott graduated from the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy located in Delta, Colorado. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences / Criminal Justice from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. Chief Knott received his Master of Pubic Administration Degree from the University of Colorado in May 2014.
In June 2015, Chief Knott was awarded Law Enforcement Executive Certification from the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police. He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Command Course, Session Number 2.
