Dominique Wong is an emergency physician interested in taking medicine out of the hospital in areas such as law enforcement, disaster & homeland security medicine. She serves as medical director for EMS agencies including a tactical team for 5 years.
Her passion for law enforcement medicine extends to educating law enforcement agencies on local, state & federal levels on first aid, mass casualty response & other topics . She is currently serving as the American College of Emergency Physicians, Tac Med Section newsletter editor. She has advocated for the expansion of tactical medicine to include more law enforcement-medicine interfaces.
She has experience in medical direction of large mass gatherings including the Boy Scout World & National Jamborees, obstacle & motocross races. Related to her homeland security interests she chairs her Hospital Preparedness Committee & is a member of her local homeland security group. She recently graduated from the Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Naval Postgraduate School, Executive Leaders Program.
She graduated from Cornell University, Ohio State University College of Medicine & residency at Marshall University.
