Sandra M. Schneider, MD, FACEP, is the Senior Vice President for Clinical Affairs at the American College of Emergency Physicians and Adjunct Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She was the founding Chair and Professor of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester. Dr. Schneider is a past president of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, and Association of Academic Chairs of Emergency Medicine as well as chair of the Residency Review Committee for Emergency Medicine and the Emergency Medicine Foundation. She is the author of over 100 peer reviewed manuscripts. She has won numerous awards, including the Wiegenstien Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American College of Emergency Physicians. She currently resides in Dallas near her adult daughter who is a crime analyst with the Burleson, Tx Police Department.
